Job Description: Death Valley National Park is one of America's largest national parks with many natural wonders including salt flats, ancient geological formations, chiseled canyons, the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere, Badwater, at 282 feet below sea level and majestic mountains rising to 11,049 feet at Telescope Peak. This is one of the hottest locations in the United States with many summer days reaching temperatures over 110 F (40 C). Summer nights stay warm with low temperatures that often only dip into the 82-98 F (28-37 C) range. Activities in the area include rock climbing, camping, hiking/walking, stargazing, and more. The Furnace Creek Resort is situated in an oasis surrounded by the vast and arid landscape of Death Valley National Park, California - just 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada and 275 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California. Furnace Creek Resort features two hotels - the historic, 4-diamond, 66 room Furnace Creek Inn (opened in 1927) and the more family oriented 224 room Furnace Creek Ranch (established in1889) as well as four restaurants, a saloon, a cocktail lounge, retail outlets, and more. Students working at Furnace Creek Resort will be living in employee housing with employees from the United States. There are many employee activities and organized trips during the summer to places like Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, shopping trips, and more. Please remember that this is a remote and HOT area. We are located in the desert, about 3 hours from Las Vegas. There is not public transportation that goes to or from the resort, so you'll need to work with your employer and new friends to arrange transportation off of the resort. You will be in a small community here, living and working with your coworkers. Please be prepared for VERY hot weather! Though you're located in California, this is the desert part of California!
Dishwasher: Responsabil pentru spalarea veselei, utilajului la bucatarie si tacimurilor. Trebuie sa supravegheze starea echipamentelor între zonele de depozitare si de lucru, sa evacueze gunoiul si sa mentina in ordine toate zonele bucatariei. Rareori va fi necesar sa stringa vesela de pe mesele oaspetilor si sa ajute la pregatirea bucatelor. Restaurantul ofera pentru aceasta pozitie un mediu curat, permanent pregatit si aprovizionat cu toate substantele de curatare, uniforma protectoare de umeditate, astfel creind un anturaj sanatos, placut pentru angajat. Lucrind in aceasta pozitie angajatul isi va dezvolta capacitatea de gestionare a timpului eficient; va avea posibilitatea de a comunica cu angajatii americani in limba engleza; de a invata cum lucreaza un restaurant pe diferite nivele si care este structura organizatorica a unei echipe de bucatarie ce straduie zilnic pentru mentinerea numelui restaurantului si multumirea clientilor.
