Job Description: ** The park is open weekends only (Saturday & Sunday) during the first week and last four weeks of operation. From May 13 to August 13 the park will be open 7 days a week. The park closes on September 10. During the weeks the park is open weekends only, participants should expect to work LESS THAN 32 hours/week and to work ONLY on the weekend (Saturday & Sunday). The dates for these weekends (Saturday & Sunday) are May 6-7; August 19-20; August 26- 27; September 2- 4 (Saturday, Sunday, & Monday); and September 9-10. Position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Lifeguards are responsible first and foremost for the well being of our guests. Prevention is the key to safety. Lifeguards provide a safe environment by enforcing and abiding by all water park and safety rules to avoid accidents. Being a good swimmer. Being attentive and assertive while ensuring guests use all attractions safely and correctly. Working outdoors under extreme weather conditions (rain or shine), while in the water. Contributing to park clean up and maintaining clean work areas. Be able to lift guests of all weights with the assistance of a backboard. Perform physically as needed to complete rescues. Interacting with park guests and providing information, in addition to other duties assigned by your supervisor. Successfully completing Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Certification is a pre-requisite to employment (5 day training & testing offered at the park). License, books & training costs of $50.00. Training is unpaid as applicant must become Ellis Certified before he/she can be hired as a lifeguard. Be able to successfully complete physical requirements including swim test (swim 200yd/183m, tread water without using your hands for 2 minutes, retrieve a 10lbs brick from the bottom of a 6.5ft pool and bring it to surface, in addition to other tasks). Undergo 4 hours of in-service training each month to maintain certification. Be able to stand for long periods of time under sunlight exposure and extreme temperatures. Certain positions will be in the water all day. Must be dependable, responsible, courteous, have common sense and good judgment, while working with guests and team members of all ages. * Due to uncontrollable circumstances there may times where 32 hours per week cannot be earned by the employee, i.e.: weather conditions. Participants must fulfill their schedule and job requirements with Big Kahuna’s at all times.

Trebuie sa ofere primul ajutor de reanimare in caz de necessitate, sa cunoasca tehincile de salvare si sa foloseasca corect utilajul de salvare. Activind in aceasta pozitie vei avea posibilitatea de a interactiona cu vizitatorii piscinelor; de a cunoaste spectrul larg de mentinere a piscinelor la standartele internationale de sanatate cit si standartele internationale de salvamar; de a dezvolta abilitatile de comunicare in limba engleza; de a petrece timpul in aer liber intr-o atmosfera distractiva si activa, acumulind experienta noua zi-de-zi si impresii asupra comportamentului diferitor nationalitati.
