Job Description: Starbucks baristas are expected to perform several job duties and provide excellent customer service. Baristas at Starbucks take orders and make coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications. They must also provide food items as requested. Starbucks baristas may also operate cash registers and credit card machines. Other duties include clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms, and preparation areas during a normal shift. Baristas work to maintain excellent customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages, food items, as well as, complete assigned tasks from management every day.

Food Service Associate: Handles guest sales in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner using suggestive selling techniques. Rings up sales on a cash register, handles money, and counts out correct change. May also be responsible for preparation of various food products according to prescribed recipes. Required to maintain a clean and orderly area including the preparation area, guests areas (tables, chairs, serving lines, condiment stands, etc.) and all equipment. Learns menu items, portions, accompaniments and prices.
